Through researching various visual impairments, design choices within educational spaces are evaluated to understand the importance of a multisensory approach in architecture. By integrating elements that cater to the sense of touch, architects can create environments that are accessible and enriching for students.

This research aims to integrate successful design elements into an existing school providing the viewer with an immersive experience through virtual reality. These elements will highlight the lack of accessible design in elementary schools in Toronto and emphasize the significance of designing a building for its occupants.
