I am interested in the potential of environmental psychology — the scientific study of the transactions and interrelationships between people and their physical surroundings — within the context of virtual space. This project broadcasts information about changing human behaviors in curated atmospheres. Using the style of miniature paintings as a communication tool and formal expression, these spaces engage in building relationships between colour, visceral intricacy, ornament, pattern, and texture. I welcome you into a virtual house where you can enter any miniature painting and experience any kind of space you want to. Individually, these spaces generate data on different experiences and emotions for different viewers. Collectively, the virtual space broadcasts information about user’s choice and preference for space. Like a miniature painting, this virtual space for generating and broadcasting information becomes an amalgamation of atmospheres.
In short, the space for information broadcasting is a device in which existing information is utilized to generate new information.
I welcome you to the house of emotions.
