Architecture aspart of mobility

With the technologies like autonomous driving getting mature, manufactures begin to improve their riding experience with better onboard entertainment and ambience. As the vehicle itself slowly alleviate the task of driving from the user, what will the space of cabin be? What is the future of the transportation system that function within the urban fabric both privately and publicly?
My thesis imagines a new way of navigating through the city especially the site of Nansha district within the city of Guangzhou in China. The location of Nansha  is very essential transportation node in connecting the city of Guangzhou to other neighbours such as Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macau, and Hongkong. It is the start of the pearl river which is the only water entrance from the ocean to city of Guangzhou. Therefore, Nansha is becoming a new Free trade zone, and the an ideal location to utilize new method of transportation.
Transportation as programable spaces perform as the extension of a building. It can be a lounge space, movie room.

I begin to break apart the current modes of transportation and challenge the relationship between the private and public.  When experience leads to the role of transportation, the environment of mobility is then an architectural study at micro-scale. The space of the cabin manipulates the experience. A vehicle is no longer just a tool that moves people or cargo from point A to B but an extension of architecture.

Lift Column: A vehicle function inside the building. Right Column: Integration in different environment (residential buildings, street side, inter-city station)

Transportation can function beyond picking you up when you need it to be, but more importantly it can work as an integrated program or amenities that function as a part of the building. The programs are shared among the community and scheduled for needs whether they are on the go or stationery. There are also underground railways connected to the system which give clearance to the upper roads, and further travel range.

Nansha is a new Free trade zone that carries the task of importation and exportation of goods.
The transportation system also covers the delivery of goods towards the urban area.
Package delivery that starts as a convoy for a better range coverage and spits up to reach its destination.
