U of T Forestry welcomes China Scholarship Council PhD students!
In partnership with the University of Toronto, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) offers scholarships to outstanding Chinese students who will pursue doctoral studies at the University of Toronto (U of T). For doctoral students selected by the CSC, U of T undertakes to cover the cost of tuition while the CSC will provide the student with a stipend sufficient to cover living expenses (including UHIP), return airfare and visa application fees.
For details and how to apply, please visit the China Scholarship Council page.
In order to qualify for a CSC doctoral scholarship, the candidate must be a Chinese citizen. Eligible students will have excellent marks, and will undertake to return to China upon completion of their studies.
PhD degree program applicants must also meet all of the U of T’s requirements for admission to a doctoral program. In order to apply for the CSC scholarship, applicants must already have received an offer of admission from the University of Toronto formatted appropriately for the CSC application.
How to Apply (PhD Degree Program applicants to the Faculty of Forestry)
Step 1: Apply to the PhD degree program at the Faculty of Forestry early enough to obtain an official offer of admission letter, before CSC application deadline (ideally you should apply before January 18, 2019): https://academic.daniels.utoronto.ca/forestry/applications-and-admissions/
IMPORTANT: When applying, indicate in your online application that you will be applying for the “China Scholarship Council – University of Toronto Joint Funding Program”.
