I’m a Research Scientist focussing on reforestation silviculture, competition and ecology. I’m an Associate Editor to the Canadian Journal of Forest Research and an Adjunct Professor at Université Laval, University of Toronto and Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and an Honorary Research Associate at University of New Brunswick, where I supervise graduate students. I’m Co-Lead of 2RLQ (Réseau Reboisement Ligniculture Québec; Quebec Network for Reforestation and Intensive Silviculture), an innovation network of researchers and end-users that focuses on reforestation under its many forms. The 2RLQ contributes to the development of tree planting in the forest environment to increase forest, as well as for the development and maintenance of green infrastructure and the ecological restoration of disturbed or anthropized sites. I am also a Regular Member of the Centre for Forest Research, the largest forest ecology research group in Canada and one of the most important in the world. I’m Deputy Coordinator of IUFRO Unit 1.01.08 dedicated to the ecology and silviculture of spruce, and a member of the IUFRO Task Force on Resilient Planted Forests Serving Society and Bioeconomy.
