New Urban Forestry resource: Growing Green Cities: A Practical Guide to Urban Forestry in Canada

Professor Danijela Puric-Mladenovic and Adrina Bardekjian, Adjunct Professor and Director of Research and Engagement at Tree Canada, and thanks to the collective efforts of many contributors, have co-authored a free guide Growing Green Cities: A Practical Guide to Urban Forestry in Canada which is now available on Tree Canada’s website.

This online resource/booklet can also be downloaded as a PDF. It builds on Tree Canada’s former Compendium of Best Urban Forest Management Practices, bringing together current Canadian research and practical approaches to support the planning, growth, and care of urban forests.

While originally developed for practitioners, municipalities, and organizations working to enhance the resilience, equity, and sustainability of urban green spaces across Canada, the guide will also be used in current Master of Forest Conservation and Master of Landscape Architecture courses.
