During my undergraduate studies in Environmental Science and Engineering, I developed an interest in interdisciplinary and applied research. I’m currently working with Rasoul as a research assistant as I prepare to begin my Master of Science in Forestry (MScF) at the University of Toronto in September 2023.
The work I have been doing is focused on the economic value of forest protection functions against natural hazards such as floods, avalanches, rockfalls, etc. I am trying to evaluate such ecosystem services and find a forest management system in order to support such services, especially with considering different climate change scenarios.
