My name is Mandana Barghi, currently working as a Research Scientist at the Institute of Forestry and Conservation at the University of Toronto. I got my PhD in environmental sciences/environmental chemistry in 2017. After that, I started a postdoc at Hanyang University in South Korea and Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada. In 2023 I started working at U of T. My research area is on finding methods to avoid water pollution after wildfires occur in Ontario and protect Indigenous people, wildlife, and water treatment facilities from the negative impacts of water pollution.
