Taha Syed is a graduate of the Master of Forest Conservation program at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto with a multi-disciplinary career focus on conservation and construction. Trained as a civil engineer, and then as an environmentalist and forester, Taha is passionate about low-carbon construction that is resilient and sustainable within the context of climate change. Taha recently published his capstone project entitled Identifying Mass Timber Research Priorities, Barriers to Adoptation and Engineering, Procurement and Construction Challenges in Canada. He is also involved in various GIS projects including 3D interactive map of mass timber projects in North America.

Taha lives in Toronto with his wife and 2-year-old daughter
